Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for our Grant and Generous donation for our new gator!
The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, formed in 1948, has a proud tradition of providing support to the citizens of the Greater Aurora Area, the TriCities and Kendall County. Funds are awarded in two major ways, scholarships for local students and grants for designated charitable categories.
In 2023, we were recognized for the work we do in the community and awarded a grant of $6500 toward the purchase of any needed equipment needed to manage Casey’s operations. The grant money has gone toward the purchase of a new gator - the workhorse at Casey's. Our secondhand gator gave out after 10 years and was irreparable. Our thanks go to the foundation for honoring us with the grant and providing a means to help make it possible. We had one year to use the grant money, but it only covered approximately half of the purchase price. Nancy McCormick, who we all know as a former Board Member and Volunteer Coordinator, came to our rescue and stepped up and donated the remaining amount to ensure the purchase was completed before the end of this year. We couldn’t have made it without Nancy!
