Wednesday, Oct 25th was a sad day at Casey’s. After several days of trying to figure out what was wrong with Jasmine, Dr. Golden and Mitch helped her cross over the rainbow bridge. We weren’t sure if she suffered a stroke or some kind of traumatic collision but something was affecting her neurologically. She appeared to be blind and seemed in a constant state of fear, confusion and insecurity. We had done and tried everything; whatever happened to her was pretty catastrophic.
JASMINE, a beautiful palomino mini, came to Casey’s on August 31, 2019, after being retired from the pony ride facility. According to our vet, she was probably born in 1989. She was a sweet, lovable girl who immediately recognized Candy so they were once again best buds. They both loved people to visit them. Jasmine was a special needs pony that needed a special diet and supplements and lived out her retirement days in our Sanctuary. Jasmine lived a long full life and was loved by her pasture mates, volunteers and visitors. She had nothing but the best care and lots of love for the last 4 years of her life. Rest in Peace Jasmine. You will be missed.
